Stay in Colombia

More Cali / Medellín dance, coffee region, coast — no second-country logistics. Doesn’t fix the “Colombia archaeology not exciting” feeling, but may be the right call if dance + wedding + rest already fill the days to 2–4 Sep.

August weather in Colombia is already assumed for the core trip (Andean cities mild/rainy season; Caribbean hot/humid) — no extra seasonal decision beyond what’s on city pages.

If the freed days should go to swimming / clear water rather than a second country, see Seaside → Colombia (San Andrés / Providencia, Capurganá, selective Tayrona beaches) instead of forcing archaeology inland.
